Palm kernel oil (PKO) is a lauric-type oil originating from the kernel of the oil palm fruit, Elaeis guineensis Jacq. The oil can be further fractionated into two distinct products, namely palm kernel olein (PKOL) and palm kernel stearin (PKST).
